Bio

Bessie Blondell Porter was the daughter of Abner L. Porter and Mary Elizabeth Cason. She was born August 12, 1888 Winnsboro, Fairfield Co, South Carolina. She was the wife of George Washington Wright III. She came to the Orlando area in 1923 with her family. She taught Bible classes to the inmates of the Orange County jail for more than thirty years. She died August 24, 1975 in Orange Co., Florida. Her burial was at the Woodlawn Memorial Park, Gotha, Orange Co., Florida, in the A Garden, Lot 81, space 3.
