FUNERAL HELD NOV. 17TH FOR MARY ADA ESTEPMary Ada Howell Estep, 102 died Friday, November 14, 1997 at San Saba, Texas. She had attained the age of 102 years.She was born October 20, 1895 in Williamson County, Texas, the daughter of John C. and Mary Aurand Howell.She was a Baptist. Her occupation was rancher, housewife, and furniture. She had lived in San Saba and Mills County most ofher life. She married Clyde (Skinny) Estep in 1941.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters and one brother.Survivors are step-daughters, Flo Slaughter of Cherokee, Katherine Bond of Cherokee and Josephine Robison of San Antonio; two brothers,Ace Howell of Kingsland and John B. Howell of Chappel; a sister, Verna Lynn of Brownwood; and several nieces and nephews including J.W. Lee of Gatesville.Graveside rites were held at Chappel Cemetery under the direction of the Howell-Duran Funeral Home in San Saba on Monday, November 17, 1997at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Forrest McGregor officiating.
