Bio

Daughter of Dr. John P. Wood and Ann Batten. She married S.S. Ogle on 14 July 1898. She had two sisters, Pearl and Ollie Joe. Pearl outlived several husbands and married to a Mr. Noble when she died in 1966. She is buried in Oakland Cemetey in Dallas. Ollie Joe married Watt Berry Bender. She died in 1969 and is buried in Algoma Cemetery in Marshall. Ella was seperated from her husband after the birth of her only child, L.E., in 1900. She died shortly after. Her son was raised by her sister, Ollie Joe Bender and Watt Bender and was known as L.E. Bender all his life. His death certificate and obituary reflect the name Bender instead of Ogle.L.E. died in 1941 in an accident and is buried next to his mother.
