Bio

Services for Mearl S. Emenhiser, 88, Muncie, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Meeks Mortuary. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, north of Muncie. Calling will be 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday and before services Saturday at the mortuary, where Delaware Lodge will conduct a memorial service at 8 p.m. Friday. Mr. Emenhiser died Friday at his home. He was born in Bluffton, came to Muncie with his parents and had lived in the Muncie area most of his life. Mr. Emenhiser was a machinist at Warner Gear Division (now Borg-Warner Automotive) for 38 years. He retired in 1966. He also farmed. He was a member of Center Chapel United Methodist Church, Delaware Lodge 46, F&AM, White Shrine Commandry Knights Templar 18 Drill Team, Muncie York Rite, and Warner Gear Sympathy Club. Survivors include a son; two daughters; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. His wife of 51 years, Opal Emenhiser, died in 1975.
