THE HIGHLANDER NEWS OCTOBER 10, 2008 Will O. McDaniel Will O. McDaniel, 76, of Granite Shoals, passed away Monday, Oct. 6 in Athens, Texas. He was born March 3, 1932, in Burnet County to Dan Clinton McDaniel and Estelle Piper McDaniel. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bertram. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Patty McDaniel; sister, Gail Coats; and brother, Richard McDaniel. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Lynnell and Les Nummy of Austin; sons and daughters-in-laws, Quinton and Patty McDaniel of Burnet and Curtis and Reina McDaniel of Highland Haven; sisters, Vernell Dodson and husband David of Belton, Rita Whitley, Dixie Westen, and Aldeen Smith, all of Bertram; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alton and Chris McDaniel of Kempner, Buddy and Carmen McDaniel of San Benito, Morris McDaniel of Bertram, and Jimmy and Kathy McDaniel of Bertram; grandchildren, Niesa McFarland, Corey Brooks, Nickie Brooks, Raelynn McDaniel, and Joshua Salinas; great-grandchildren, Gerynn McFarland, Jay McFarland, Ashleigh McFarland, Morgynn McFarland, and Kiyah Dykes; and several nieces and nephews. Family visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8 at the Edgar Funeral Home in Marble Falls. The funeral service was 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9 at First Baptist Church of Bertram, with Rev. Kenneth Womack officiating. Interment followed in the Bear Creek Cemetery in Bertram. Services entrusted to Edgar Funeral Home in Marble Falls.
