NAME: Theodosia Desdemona 'Dosia' JOHNSON (from US Censuses) Ms. Docia Gunter of DeRidder, LA, died September 16, 1953 at 7:15 a.m. at the Beuregard Hospital. She was born September 9, 1868 in Texas to Adeline Perkins and Jack Johnson. Her husband Charlie Gunter died in 1933. She was 85 years old. Services will be held at Pine Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Luther Nichols and Wilborn Ashworth officiating. Burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery. Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. J.M. Thompson of DeRidder; Mrs. O.C. Teasley of St. Cloud, FL; Mrs. T.S. Cooley of DeRidder; Mrs. Willie James of Pitkin; and Mrs. J.P. Cooley of DeRidder; one son, Elbert Gunter of New Llano; one brother, Robert Johnson of Leesville; and one sister, Mrs. W.A. Moses of DeRidder.
