Hester Services Scheduled Today DERIDDER (Spl.) - Funeral services for Biniam L. Hester ,64, were to be held at 2 p.m. at the Hopewell Baptist church with the Rev. Thomasl Cooley, the Rev. Jack Bell and the Rev. Roy Lee Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Hopewell cemetery with the Hixson funeral home in charge. Mr. Hester died at 11:55 p.m. Saturday in the Beauregard Memorial Baptist hospital. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the American Legion. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elva Hester of DeRidder; five daughters, Mrs. Varnell Cooley and Mrs. Charlene Taylor, both of DeRidder, Mrs. Ruth Edell Petittas of Boston, Mass., Mrs. Mary Bell Gill of Lawton, Okla. and Mrs. Ira Wade Pursley of Atlanta, Ga. two sons, Melbin Hester of Dallas, Texas, and Elson Earl Hester of DeRidder; twenty grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Copeland of El Paso, Tex., and Mrs. Ada Seitz of Las Vegas, Nevada; six brothers, W. T. of Port Arthur, Texas, Walter of Buna, Texas; Loami, Elmer, Obie, and Otis, all of DeRidder.
