Bio

Dorothy Behen, 85, of Lynnwood, died on May 10, 2002. She was born on April 23, 1917 in Chicago, Illinois. She and her husband, Clark, moved to the Seattle area in 1945. Dorothy was an executive secretary and manager for Dohrman Hotel Supply Co., and in the medical field. She was an original founder of St. Luke's in Shoreline and Christ The King in Greenwood. She enjoyed helping with the Sandwich Ladies at St. Luke's. Dorothy was very creative, funny, highly intelligent and loved to entertain. She was loved, will be missed and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Clark; children Kay (David) Latta, Bob (Judy) Behen, Carol (David) Rodgers and Mark (Sonja) Behen; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and brother Walter (Pam) Zimmerman of Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by a grandson Sean Domenic Latta. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, May 16, 2002 at 10:00 AM at St. Luke Catholic Church, 322 N. 175th, Shoreline. Viewing will be on Wednesday, May 15, 2002, from 3:00 - 7:00 PM at Beck's Funeral Home, 405-5th Ave. S, Edmonds (425) 771-1234 and Thursday, May 16, 2002 at 9:30 AM at the church. Memorials may be given to the Puget Sound Kidney Center or the American Cancer Society.
