Moses N. Barker Jr. (1924 - 2011) Moses Nathaniel Barker Jr., 86, of Fort Worth passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 12, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Monday in Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Laurel Land Funeral Home. Nathan was born Dec. 13, 1924, in Fort Worth to Moses and Mary Barker. He was one of six children. Nathan served in the Navy as a gunner aboard the SS Stephen Hopkins in World War II and was a Purple Heart recipient. Survivors: Nathan will be remembered by his loving wife, Linda Barker; children, Ricky, Terry, Darrell, Teresa, Stephen and their families; his children from his first marriage, Larry, Brenda, Patricia and Pamela; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Pauline Watson; and brothers, Alvin and Marvin Barker.
