"Funeral services for George Riddle, Jr., 36 years of age, will be held in the chapel of the Norman Funeral Home Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock conducted by the Rev. Kenneth A. Kuntz. Interment will be in Edgewood Cemetery. Mr. Riddle's death occurred in his home, 724 East 15th street, Kansas City, Monday morning at 9:55 o'clock and resulted from a complication of ailments. He had not been well for several months. He was in Research hospital in Kansas City four weeks and had been removed from the hospital to his home only a week before his death. The Riddles moved to Kansas City from Chillicothe in March 1941 and he owned a second hand store and radio shop there. He was in the same kind of business in Chillicothe. George Riddle, son of George Riddle, Sr., of Liberty, Mo., was born in Breckenridge, Mo., on June 17, 1908. The family lived here for a number of years and the children attended school here. Their mother, Mrs. George Riddle, died in September 1933. The deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lottie Beatrice Riddle, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Herminghausen of Chillicothe. The Riddles were married March 3, 1934. The father, five sisters and three brothers also survive. They are: Mrs. Mildred Morris of Chillicothe, Mrs. Zelma Green of Independence, Mo., Mrs. Beulah Graham and Mrs. Bernice Avery of Flint, Mich., Miss Lucille Riddle of the Women's Army Corps in Chicago, Willard, Elgin and Kenneth Riddle of Kansas City."
