Born to William Albert and Edith Loretta Roark Stowell.She was a surviving civilian of the attack on Pearl Harbor.She is preceded in death by daughter,Pamela Place in 1983.Survivors:Husband,Walter of Orange;daughters,Shirley Morris and Debra Place;Uncle,Rex Thrasher;Aunt,Eve Lander;grand-daughter,Chelsea Giusti.(The Orange County Register,May 30,2002.)
