Bio

The Wellington Leader March 30, 2000 J.B. Killian, life long resident of Childress and Collingsworth County, died Tuesday, March 28, 2000 in Wellington at the age of 83. Born April 11, 1916 in the Loco Community of Childress County to James A. and Ida Crawley Killian, he attended school at Loco, Fresno and graduated from Wellington in 1933. He attended Daughon's Business College and married Louise Young on August 25, 1940 in Dodson. He served on the Wellington school board 12 years, was on the Farmers Coop Gin Board. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and served on the administrative board. He received the Outstanding Farmer award from the Salt Fork Soil and Water Conversation District. Survivors are his wife, Louise; three sons, Dr. Granvel Killian,Hollis, OK; Gary and Mark Killian, Wellington; one daughter Vicki Kunka of Follett; thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
