Bio
She was a daughter of Enne Mennen Harken b. 18 Sep 1808 in Freepsum, Germany and Anna Friedrichs Meyer (Meier) b. 24 Feb 1809 in Loppersum, Germany. They were married 27 Jul 1834 in Freepsum, Germany. Joerke was the mother of nine children. Only 3 of them lived to adulthood and survived her. Some were born and died while the family lived in Germany. They also had at least 2 who were born in Illinois. In addition to the 3 children who survived, Richelf and Joerke had the following children: A daughter (not named) who was born in Aug of 1869 in Germany and died there in 1869. A daughter, Anna, who was born 28 May 1871 in Canum, Ostfriesland, Germany. Death date and location not known at this time. Another daughter also they named Anna who was born in 1877 in Illinois. Death date and location not known at this time. Another daughter named Hikeo who was born in 1879 in Illinois. Death date and location not known at this time. No information at this time on the other 2 who died young.
