Bio

John Welchel (sic), aged 58 years, died Monday morning about 8 o'clock from inflammatory rheumatism and other complications. He lived on his claim 10 miles south of Joplin. He leaves a wife and nine children: John T., Otto, Thomas, Fred, Mrs. J.E. Cady, Mrs. Wardof, Alma, Grace, Hazel, and one daughter in Dakota, who was unable to get here in time for the funeral.
