Bio

William Donley Sims was the half brother of my 2nd great grandfather Gant Sims. The birth date on his headstone is wrong. He was actually born in 1864. All US Census data and his own death certificate list the date as 1864. The actual date of birth is 29 November 1864 and his date of death according to his death certificate is 3 May 1928. I got an email stating he was either the adopted son of Augustus Sims or the real son of John Irwin his mother's first husband. This just isn't the case. :) Contributor: A.J. Thomas Sims who married Mary Winn, daughter of General Richard Winn of the Revolution. and Rachel Dickson. Beloved father of Mack Dickson Sims, Carl Cooper Sims, Samuel Augusta Sims, Donna Elizabeth Sims and John Eugene Sims.
