Son of William Donely and Eleanor Elizabeth Grimes Sims. Grandson of Eleanor Catherine Cooper Grimes and Samuel Henry Grimes. Carl Cooper Sims married Octa Belle Hill b. 18 Nov 1900. The couple had 7 children, Carl Sims Jr., Mary Elizabeth,Fred Hill, Hallie Augusta, Donna Faye, William Ray, Charles Eugene Sims. They celebrated their 50th anniersary in 1969. Carl served in WWI.
