HEREFORD - Billy Don "Bill" Scott, 73, died Friday, April 1, 2011. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Hereford Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Ted Taylor, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Dimmitt. Arrangements are by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home of Hereford. Mr. Scott was born Sept. 4, 1937, in Quanah to William Mack and Vera Frances Pruitt Scott. He met and fell in love with Carla Ward and they were married April 11, 1969, in Dimmitt. Survivors include his wife of Hereford; two daughters, Jennifer Hix of Hereford and Linda Knotts of Deer Park; two sons, Michael David Scott of Santa Fe, Texas, and Justin Scott of New Home; five brothers, Robert Scott of Hope, Ark., Winfred Scott of Dripping Springs, Alvin Scott of Corpus Christi, Kerry Scott of Amarillo, and Calvin Scott of Loop; two sisters, Dortha Gobin of Corpus Christi and LaNora Ainsworth of Trinity; and seven grandchildren.
