The Eugene Register-Guard Lane County, Oregon Thursday, March 31, 2011 Hazel Taylor Hazel H. Taylor of Eugene died March 27 of ovarian cancer. She was 81. A family memorial service will be held later at the First Baptist Church in Eugene. She was born March 1, 1930, in Tulata, Texas, to James and Alice Slaughter Harris. She married Alfred Taylor on Oct, 1, 1949, in Beeville, Texas. He died April 11, 2007. She attended Draughn's Business School and worked as a partner at a family ranch in south Texas. She also produced and sold photo greeting cards. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Taylor and Linda Kocurek, both of Coburg; a brother, James Harris III of Houston; and one grandchild. Inurnment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Arrangements by Andreason's Cremation & Burial Service in Springfield. Remembrances to building funds at the First Baptist Church in Eugene or the First Baptist Church in Alpine, Ariz.
