Bio
Edward Voboril, 88, passed away Jan. 28, 2008, in his sleep at his step-daughter's home in Huntington, CA, where he and his wife, Marguerite, have lived for the last 16 years. He was born in Abie, NE on Jan. 20, 1920, to Joseph and Lucille Belik Voboril. His main life's work was for the CB&Q Railroad in Lincoln. He retired in 1981. He enjoyed many friendships through the clubs he belonged to--Knights of Columbus, Men's Club at church, Burlington Northern Club, I.A.M. Union, Lodge #612 and the Moose Club. He is survived by his wife, Marguerite; two step children, Marguerite Sipp and Raymond Arnold, Fort Bragg, CA; three step grandchildren, December Long, Myron Sipp, Jr., and Cassandra Long; and six step great grandchildren; sister, Margarette Hunt, Lexington, KY; and two brothers, Frank of Omaha, NE and Donald of Costa Mesa, CA. He is preceded in death by his parents; and five brothers, Richard, Joe, Milton, Leonard, and Louis. Graveside service 10 a.m. Tuesday (6/17/08) at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, Lincoln. Gathering at the Moose Club at 11:30 after the service.
