Bio

Frank Louis Voboril, 88, of Lincoln, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Bryan East. He was born on February 4, 1925 in Abie, NE. to Joseph and Lucille (Belik) Voboril. Frank was drafted into the Navy and became an Electricians Mate. He served from 1944 to 1946 in the states, Hawaii and Okinawa, Japan. Frank worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber from January 1947 to March 1987. He belonged to Local 286. He was a charter member of his union. Frank married Dollretta Blanche Powell on April 29, 1949 in Lincoln, NE. Dollretta preceded him in death on August 6, 1988. He met Mary Ann Garfield in April 1989 they were companions for 19 years. Mary Ann passed away in January 2009. Frank enjoyed Nebraska Football, NASCAR, traveling, dancing and spending time with family. Survivors: Ron (Gloria), Gary (Kami) of Lincoln, Aaron , of Green Valley AZ. And Darryl of Omaha. Grandsons: Shawn, Nick and Joseph. Great-Granddaughters: Kenzie and Kadance. Brother: Don (Marge) Voboril of CA. Sister: Marge of KY. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his Wife, Parents, Brothers: Dick, Joe, Milton, Edward, Leonard and Louis. Sons: Fred and Larry.
