Texas S1 USNR WWII Obit in Lufkin Daily News, June 4, 1969 Funeral services for James O. (Bill) Jones, Sr., 61, of Zavalla, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Richard E. McAnally will officiate and burial will be in the Knight Cemetery. Mr. Jones died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon. He was born in San Augustine Co., October 26, 1907, and had resided in Zavalla for one year. He was a member of the Zavalla First Baptist Church and was a veteran of WW II. He had formerly lived in California.
