OBITUARY June 27, 1984 "Huntsville Times" Huntsville, Alabama Oscar Fred Evans, 72, of Harvest died Tuesday at Athens-Limestone Hospital in Athens. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Spry Funeral Home in Athens with Everett Conn officiating followed by burial in Evans Cemetery in Cherry Grove. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife, Cleavie Ottes (Chambers) Evans; his daughters, Betty Yvonne Todd of Birmingham, Willie Mae Eldridge of Rogersville, and Wynell Keeton of Harvest; his sons, Kenny Wayne Evans of Memphis, Tennessee and William Richard Evans of Columbus, Mississippi; his brothers, Bennie Evans of Rogersville, and James Evans and W. B. Evans, both of Athens; his sisters, Anice Patterson and Lovina Griffin, both of Athens, and Estelle Newton and Josephine McCafferty, both of Rogersville; sixteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
