J.A. McCain Dies; Services Monday Joseph Andrews (Andy) McCain, 72, was found dead, apparently of heart attack, about 1 a.m. Saturday at the family home. He had been ill Thursday. Funeral services are set for 4 p.m. Monday in Church of Christ with Minister W.R. Craig officiating. Interment will be in Childress cemetery by Newberry Funeral Home. Mr. McCain was born October 11, 1888, in Scott County, Ark., and married Miss Ona Sanders February 2, 1913, in Sulphur Springs, then moved here in 1914. He worked for number of years for the Scott and Walling Feed Store and drove for a cab company part-time. Since 1943, he had driven a cab steadily. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors are his widow; one son, Charles McCain of Lubbock; one daughter Mrs. Ruby Perkins of Greenville; four brothers, Walter of Stanton, Eugene and Dave of Childress and George of Anderson, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Worthen of Sulphur Springs and Mrs. Lizzie Ragsdale of Pampa; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
