Bio

Orphaned by age 9, James Rite Fields is presumed to be the only child of Justice Wright/Rite Fields and wife Martha Jane McMennamy. He has no known marriages or children. He and his parents have not been found on the 1880 census. James is found on the Collin County TX census records for 1900 (age 24, nephew living in his aunt Perlina Emeline Cravins' household), 1930 (age 54, boarder with the Pascal Brown household), 1940 (age 64, lodger with the Dee Fields family), and in 1950 in Grayson County TX (age 74, living alone). His obit states that he was living with his cousin Mrs. Meadows at the time of his death, and was survived only by several cousins.
