wife of Doyle Emo "Buck" Terrell; mother of Mildred Lenona Terrell; Helen Marie Terrell Winnie's middle and maiden name came from children's birth records, but is alternately spelled as Winnie Flanery and Winnie Opale Flannery. July 1982 Funeral services for WINNIE OPAL TERRELL, 72, of Anna, who died Wednesday in a Whitewright nursing home will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in Westminster Baptist Church with Rev. John T. Bledsoe and Rev. Joe Smith officiating. Interment will be in Elm Grove Cemetery. Flesher Funeral Home of Van Alstyne in charge. She was born Dec 23, 1909 in Weston, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harris Flannery and married Doyle Terrell, Aug. 18, 1926 in Celina. She was a member of Blue Ridge Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of Anna ; one daughter; Mrs. Mildred Turner of Anna ; two grandchildren ; one great grandchild ; one sister, Mrs. Ida Thompson of Celina ; two brothers, Clarence Flannery of Richardson, W. B. Flannery of Terrell ; one half brother, Byron Flannery of Dallas. The family will be at the funeral home from 7-8 p.m. Friday. obit thanks to James Tulley by email.
