Parental links, birth-death place provided by Glenn Ellis # 47410127. Published in the Athens Review June 18, 1942 Mrs. Lela May Dunklin of Avoca, Texas, died June 11, at Abilene, after an extended illness, and was buried last Friday at LaRue, her former home. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. J.H. Henson, Methodist pastor of Avoca, and a former pastor of the family, the Rev. J.E. Shewbert, Sweetwater. They were assisted by the Rev. J.D. Weaver, Methodist pastor at LaRue. Mrs. Dunklin had long been a member of the Methodist Church. Mrs. Dunklin is survived by her husband, H.H. Dunklin, also a native of LaRue, two daughters, Ruth Marie and Elva, and a son, Keith. Also surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Young of LaRue; four brothers, Horton Young, LaRue; Arthur Young, Beaumont; Alvin Young, Stephenville and Ernest Young, San Angelo; also a sister, Mrs. Addie Jo Dunklin, Hamilton, Texas. Besides leaving behind other relatives, the deceased has many friends in Henderson county, as well as at Avoca, in whose memories there will be a vacancy that cannot be replaced.
