Son of Daniel Briggs & Sarah Story Libby Briggs. Husband of Estella A. Taylor, married 28 Nov 1878, Manchester, Delaware County, IA. George W. Briggs, aged 73 years, passed away on April 21, 1927, at his home south of Aurora, IA, Sunday night. The funeral was held from the Methodist church at Dundee, IA., conducted by Rev. Kidder of Winthrop. He was quite well known to many here, having lived on a farm west of Lamont for a few years, his former home being Dundee. Interment at Spring Hill cemetery, Dundee, Delaware County, IA, beside his wife Estella Almira Taylor Briggs.
