Whitney Messenger Friday, February 3, 1984 Dova Shelley Funeral services for Mrs. Dova W. Shelley, 81, of Whitney were held Thursday, February 2, at the Marshall an Marshall Chapel with Rev. W.L. Walker officiating. Burial was in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Mrs. Shelley was born July 27, 1902 in Whitney, the daughter of Sam and Barbara (Tiny) MeGee Ward. She and Rollan H. Shelley were married April 2, 1921. She was the last of her family of eight children. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Whitney. Survivors include, her husband Rollan H. Shelley of Whitney; two daughters, Mrs. Cuma Allen and Mrs. Barbara Miles both of Whitney; four grandchildren, Nelda Kettler of Clifton, Shelley Miles of Whitney, Lisa Corvison of Miami, Florida, Lynn Miles of Dallas; two great grandchildren; Todd and Mark Kettler and a number of nieces and nephews.
