Born the daughter of Joe N. Matherly (Aug 2, 1866 – Dec 5, 1948) and Julia Belle Pruitt (Apr 1869 – Jun 18, 1918), she married in 1902 to Cornelius Jefferson Knight (1876 – 1959). Their children were Earl Benjamin Knight (1903 – 1976), Johnny Knight (1903 – ), Charley Levi Knight (1905 – 1982), and Bernice Melvin Knight (1907 – 1964). Biography by Ron Wade
