OBITUARY: Paris Express, Thursday, August 19, 1943 Pioneer Resident Of Delaware Dies --- Rev. R. A. Johnson, age 85 years, pioneer resident of Delaware, died at his home Monday, August 2. Funeral service was held at the Graves cemetery August 4 at 2 o'clock with Rev. Francis Hudson of Moreland officiating. Burial was in the Graves cemetery. Rev. Johnson had been in ill health the past several months, but his condition became serious about two weeks before his death. Mr. Johnson, who had been a minister the past 45 years, was affiliated with the Free Will Baptist church. "Uncle Bob," as he was commonly called, had lived the greater part of his life in Delaware, where he was active in all religious activities until ill health forced him to retire. Surviving relatives are his wife; five sons, J. N. of New Blaine, Fred and Bert of Delaware, William of Eufaula, Oklahoma, and Bob of Blytheville; and two daughters, Mrs. Mary Farnam of Delaware and Mrs. Nettie Rice of Carlisle.
