Colorado City Record, published in Colorado City, Texas on Thursday, December 18, 2003 Mrs. Helen Bell Ruth died Thursday, December 11, 2003, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 15, 2003 in the Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Foster officiating. Burial followed in the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home. Mrs. Ruth was born to Ollie and Loyce Ward Bell in Hyman on May 9, 1935. She married Virgil Ruth on July 22, 1950 in Colorado City. She was a member of the First Assemby of God Church and a lifelong resident of Colorado City. She is survived by her husband, Virgil Ruth of Colorado City; five sons, Jimmy and wife Cheryl of Big Spring, Bobby and wife Amanda of Big Spring, Randy and wife Sue of Colorado City, Kent and wife Sharon of Colorado City and Alvin and wife Tracey of Colorado City; two sisters, Dorothy Walraven of Fort Worth and Evelyn Whitlock of Fort Worth; three brothers, Leo Bell of Odessa, Earnest Bell of Andrews and David Bell of Colorado City; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Virgil Ruth, Jr.
