Bio

Ollie Oliver Bell was born November 26, 1911 in Pike County, Arkansas, the third son of Charles Ford Bell and Betty Maud Price. Ollie moved to Mitchell County, Texas with his brothers, mother, and her second husband, Jasper Dean Pilkington's family in 1921 and spent the remainder of his life there. He married Lois Marie Ward on October 23, 1931 in Broken Bow, Okalahoma. Ollie and Lois had ten children: Lawerance Oliver, twin girls that died hours after birth, Helen Beatrice, Clarence Ollie (my dad), Leo Elmer, Dorothy Marie, Eveyln Joyce, Earnest Dale, and David Oliver. Ollie was a sharecropper on the Spade Ranch with his family. A laborer in the cotton fields and did lawn maintenance in his later years. He and Lois were members of the Assembly of God Church.
