Lula M. Emerson NAMPA — Services for Lula Mary Emerson, 69, of Marsing, who died Thursday in a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted Monday at 10 a.m. at the Shepherd Chapel, by the Rev. Warren D. Combs, pastor of the Nampa First Assembly of God, and the Rev. Wesley Johnson of the Assembly of God. Interment will follow at Kohlerlawn in Nampa. Mr. Emerson was born April 28, 1895, at Comstock, Neb., and was married to Richard R. Emerson at Broken Bow, Neb., on Nov. 18, 1911. They came to Marsing from Dry Valley, Custer County, Neb., in 1940. She had lived in Marsing since. Mrs. Emerson was a member of the Women's Missionary Council of the Marsing Assembly of God Church. Surviving are her husband, Richard R. Emerson of Marsing; a daughter, Mrs. Austa Smith of Nyasa; eight sons, Kenneth Emerson of Marsing, Donald E. Emerson, Commerce City, Colo., the Rev. Russell R. Emerson, Portland, Ore., Raymond R. Emerson, Corona, Calif., Waldo W. Emerson of Nampa and Paul E. Emerson of Marsing; two sisters, Mrs. Esther Amos and Mrs. Corrine Faust, both of Nampa; three brothers, William Mattox of Nampa, Walter Mattox of Caldwell and Ernest Mattox of Wilder; and 29 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Her parents, two daughters and two brothers preceded her in death. Contributions to the memorial fund of the Marsing Assembly of God Church are suggested, or flowers may be sent.
