He was born on February 16, 1923 in Porum, Oklahoma. Mr. Davis had been a resident of Hutchins for the past 25 years, he was veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II and he was 55 year member of Irving Masonic Lodge #1218 A.F. & A.M. After 42 years of faithful service as the plant manager of Gifford Hills Building Manufacturing he retired in 1989. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his Wife: Rachel Davis, and Grandson: Roger Davis. He is survived by his Son & Daughter-in-law: Ernest Erwin & Linda Davis of Irving, Tx., Son & Daughter-in-law: Don C. & Judy Davis of Wilmer, Tx., Three Grandsons: Michael Davis, Bobby Joe Davis and Ronnie Shonk, Five Great Grandchildren, Brother & Sister-in-law: Vetis & Dorothy Davis of Irving, Tx. and Sister Lozetta Mantooth of Tool, Tx. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday evening from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. Funeral Services will be Thursday, March 10, 2005 at Calvary Funeral Home Chapel. Masonic Graveside Services will follow at 1:00p.m. at Melissa Cemetery in Melissa, TX.
