Honey Grove -- Louis Raymond Loftice, 87 of Honey Grove, TX. passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2007 at Honey Grove Nursing Center in Honey Grove. Funeral services will be 10:00A.M. Friday, Nov. 2, 2007 at Cooper-Sorrells Chapel with burial to follow at Melissa Cemetery in Melissa, TX. Rev. Terry Paul Cunningham will conduct services with Rev. Carey Cable assisting. Bearers will be Wayne Reaves, Fonzie Martin, Clark Loftice, Allen Loftice, Bobby Loftice, and Darrell Loftice. Honorary Bearers will be Kennedy Smith, Tim Holmes, Kurt Fogelberg and Walter Don Brown. Visitation will be Thursday 7:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. at the funeral home. Mr. Loftice was born June 26, 1920 at Melissa , TX. to parents, Collin Texas Loftice and Laura Ethna Buffington Loftice. He married Mary Etta Elizabeth Fangman June 25, 1944 in Pilot Point, TX. She passed away June 10, 1982. He was a farmer and cattle rancher. Mr. Loftice was a member of Melissa Christian Church in Melissa, TX. He is survived by children, Louise Cason and husband Jimmie of Honey Grove, TX., Violet Spell and husband Jerome of Commerce, TX. Louis Ray Loftice, Honey Grove, TX. and Calvin Loftice and wife Linda of Honey Grove, TX.. Sisters, Letha Mae Stice of Sherman, TX. and Dollie Luster of Whitewright, TX. 9-Grandchildren, 10- Great grandchildren, 1-Great Great Grandchild and other family and friends.
