Bio

Mrs. Pearline M. Hollis, 53, of 733 Peach, died at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at west Texas Medical Center following an extended illness. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Hawley Church of Christ. Keith Justice, church of Christ minister, will officiate. Burial will be in Hawley Cemetery. Born June 19, 1921, in Brown County, she married Frank Hollis in Abilene in 1945. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband; one son, Dennis Wayne of 818 Hailey; one daughter, Marcia of the home; three grandchildren; several brothers and sisters. Pallbearers will be Morris Lindsey, Garland Ellison, Carlos Appleton, Jimmy Crenshaw, Dick Williams and J.G. Hollis. (from the Abilene [Texas] Reporter-News, Wednesday, June 26, 1974)
