The Galveston County Daily News October 10, 2008 TEXAS CITY - Howard W. "Bobby" Weir, Jr., passed from this life into the next on October 7, 2008, at his home in Texas City. He joins his mother Beatrice "Bea" and his father Howard W. "Buddy" Weir Sr. in the presence of our lord. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, October 11, at the Texas City Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Lewis officiating. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, at the Bald Prairie Texas Cemetery in Balf Prairie, Texas. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, October 10, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Bobby was born in Texas City on June 11, 1947. He graduated from Texas City High School in 1967 and was a retired truck and cab driver. He leaves behind two sisters Mary Ginero of Dickinson and Hazel Ann Weir-Rigsby of Rockwall, Texas; seven nieces; and many other friends and family members. Bobby dedicated his life to caring for his mom and his nieces. He truly loved kids. Even though he never had any of his own, he loved them ALL as if they were his own. Bobby also loved his dog Jenna. The family would really like to thank his care provider, Leanna, for the love and care she gave to him and his family.
