PARENTS: T. A. Strain & Betty Roundtree ∼ Services for Mrs. Annie Ophelia Ruth were held in the Higginbotham Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Jay Beavers, pastor of the First Methodist Church. Born in Hershell, Alabama her husband Harry Ruth preceded her in death. Mrs. Ruth had made her home in Rising Star with a daughter, Mrs. Alice Baker. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Burial was in Pioneer Cemetery. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Alice Baker, Mrs. Ethel Russell; one brother, Gene Strain; nine grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
