Marcella Shebesta, 90, passed away Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, four days prior to her birthday. Service: 10 a.m. Friday at St. Andrews Catholic Church. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Rosary: 6 p.m. Thursday in Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel. Marcella was born Feb. 18, 1920, to Charles E. Dempwolf and Ella A. Dempwolf in Cleburne. Growing up, Marcella loved music and played the organ at the Catholic church and continued for many years playing the organ during church Mass and associated events. Marcella was a lifelong devoted Catholic. In 1958, she and her husband, James E. Shebesta, started Shebesta Dry Cleaners located off Camp Bowie Boulevard. After retirement, Marcella committed her extra time to the Catholic Church, serving in various stewardship activities including the Ladies Altar Society and Blue Army. She was involved for 25 years with the Expanco Auxiliary and was also a past president. She was a longtime member of St. Andrews Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by three sons, John Phillip Stewart and Thomas and William Shebesta. Marcella will be missed by all who had the privilege of meeting her. Survivors: Husband, James Shebesta; sons, Charles Stewart, James Jr. and Martin Shebesta; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
