Edmund J. "Ed" Vitek, 82, of Wahoo, died February 13, 2011 at the Saunders County Care Center in Wahoo. Born March 22, 1928 in Linwood to Robert and Victoria (Hobza) Vitek. Survived by wife, Dorothy; son, Edmund R. Vitek, Ceresco; daughter, Linda Mueller, and companion, Mike Dreith, Lincoln; grandchildren, Jason and Jeremiah Mueller, Kaitlyn Vitek; two great-grandsons; sister, Mary Ann (Robert) Schense, Wahoo. Preceded in death by brother, Martin Vitek. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Thursday, February 17, 2011, St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Wahoo. Interment: St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation: 4 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, with parish rosary at 7 p.m., Svoboda Funeral Home; and one hour before service Thursday. Memorials: Guardian Angels Fund or for masses.
