born in Dakor Senegal, French West Africa (Ref: THE DAILY CURRENT-ARGUS, Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico, dated for Friday, September 5, 1947, front page, reads as follows: CARLSBAD WAR BRIDE SUCCUMBS Mrs. Edmonde Carrigan, 17-year-old French war bride, died about 1 a.m. this morning in a Carlsbad hospital, following child birth. The child died at birth last night. Mrs. Carrigan's husband, J. Paul Carrigan, is employed as a painter for J.A. Pond. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Jeannie Bloomer of Morton, Texas. Mrs. Carrigan, whose home was at 404 North Halagueno Street, was born in Dakar, French West Africa. She came to the United States several months ago. Services for Mrs. Carrigan are pending at West's Funeral Home.
