Bio
A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Jeannine Bloomer, 91, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020, in Roswell, NM. There will be a viewing for Jeannine at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Thursday, June 11, 2020, from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at South Park Cemetery on Friday, June 12, 2020, 10:00 am. On December 5, 1928, Jeannine was born to Stanislas Gravier and Suzanne Ortin in Clamart, France. Her family fled from France because of the Germans during World War II and settled in Morocco. While in Casa Blanca, the family-owned a bar and restaurant, where Jeannine met her husband, Curtis. She moved to the United States in 1947, and Jeannine and Curtis were married in Baltimore, Maryland. They then made Carlsbad, New Mexico, their new home. Jeannine enjoyed watching old movies and especially loved listening to Elvis Presley’s music. She adored her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family with all her heart and then some. Jeannine’s favorite pet was poodles. She was so loved and will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Jeannine was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Bloomer; parents, Stanislas Gravier and Suzanne Ortin; and sister, Edmonde Carrigan. Jeannine is survived by her children: Alan and Janet Bloomer of Roswell, NM, and Johnny Bloomer of Lubbock, Texas; grandchildren: Brenda and Bobby Cosper, Lisa and Todd Davis; L.C. and Kira Bloomer; T. Bloomer, and Suzy Henry; great-grandchildren: Heath Cosper, Alice Davis, Dustin Cosper, Payton Bloomer, Maddison Bloomer, Shelby Henry, and Kyle Henry; nieces: Paula Willson and Susi Bumgardner; as well as her close friends: Marie Autry and Michelle Wunderlick. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Steve Church, Bobby Cosper, Louis Pierce, Heath Cosper, LC. Bloomer, T. Bloomer, and Dustin Cosper.
