wife of Gordon Thomas Medders; mother of John Winford Medders Mary Elizabeth Medders was born on May 26, 1934, in Gunter, Texas. Mary passed away on July 16, 2022, in McKinney, Texas, at 88 years old. Mary was born one of nine children to John Nolan and Lura Day. After growing up in Gunter and graduating high school, she married Gordon Thomas Medders. Mary and Tommy realized the only way to have a family that would stand the test of time was to have Christ as the cornerstone of the home. She dedicated her life to being a godly wife and mother, raising and nurturing six wonderful children. At the age of 35, Mary continued as a strong and dependent woman on the Lord after Tommy's passing at 41 years old. Mary's faith and walk with the Lord were evident throughout her life. Mary was ever the loving mother, grandmother, friend, and sister in Christ. Mary was preceded in death by her husbands Gordon Thomas Medders and Ross Orenduff Jr. and her son John Winford Medders, and grandson Philip Thomas Medders. Mary is survived by children Richard Medders and wife Pat, James Medders and Patsie, Alecia Schluter and husband Lynne, Ronald Medders and wife Ople, Eugene Medders and wife Shirley, along with numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
