Bio
He graduated from Gunter High School and Gainesville Junior College and attended East Texas State University. He married Florence Fallon on 31 January 1953, at St Mary's Catholic Church, Sherman, TX. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956 during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Texas Instruments for 19 years and retired in 1991 as an electromechanical technician. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Parish , Sherman. He leaves his wife; sons, Joe Ralph Day, Jr. of Sherman, and Matthew Fallon Day of El Toro, Santa Ana, CA; daughters, Debby Thomas of Lufkin, Becky Pratt of Kingwood, and Patty Bell of Southmayd - all in Texas; brothers, Harold Day of Burbank, CA, and Martin Day of Sequim, WA; sisters. Vesta Brooks of Gunter, TX, Wynelle Ferner of Stockton, CA, Janette Earl of Dallas, TX, Mary Orenduff of Melissa, TX, and Mozelle Sepulveda of Lewiston, CA; and two grandchildren.
