Jan 7, 1982 (McKinney, Texas Newspaper): Funeral services for LESTER M. BALLARD, 86, 1206 North Coleman, McKinney, who died Wednesday in a McKinney hospital were held 2 p.m. Thursday in Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Hubert Long officiating. Interment was in Ridgeview Memorial Park. He was born Nov 20, 1895 in Lampasas and married Jewell Terrell in 1932 in Durant, Oklahoma. He was a Methodist and a veteran of World War 1. Survivors include his wife of McKinney ; one stepson, Garland Terrell of McKinney ; one grandson ; one sister, Mrs. Reece Perkins of Mabank and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
