Memorial Mass for Violet Thompson age 80 of Norfolk, NE will be on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wisner, NE. Burial of the cremains will be in the St. Joseph's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. till service time on Saturday at the church. Kuzelka-Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner is in charge of the arrangements. Violet passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk, NE. Violet Mae Thompson was born February 3, 1930 at Wisner, NE to Harvey and Veronica (Osman) Breitkreutz. She attended Cuming Co. Rural School District #70. She had resided in Wisner, Stanton, Laurel, Norfolk, where she worked at Dale Electronics and the State Hospital. She later moved to Dakota City, NE and worked at IBP. She has resided in Norfolk, NE for the last 20 years. Violet enjoyed gardening, crocheting, puzzles and crossword puzzles. Survivors include- Children- Melvin and wife Jean Thompson of Norfolk, NE Tony Thompson of Yankton, SD Sandy and husband John Coupland of Norfolk, NE David Thompson of Norfolk, NE 7 Grandchildren 16 Great Grandchildren Brothers- Duane and wife Florence Breitkreutz of Wisner, NE LeRoy Breitkreutz of Crete, NE Sisters- Ethel Colsden of O'Neill, NE Betty and husband Gerald Priest of Ainsworth, NE Eveyln and husband Richard Smith of Canyon City, CO Rita and husband Larry Clark of Stanton, NE Sharon Lehman of Charlotte, NC Violet was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, and brothers-Alphonsus and Roland Breitkreutz.
