Menerva Pharis is the daughter of William Pharis and Mary Nancy Squyres. She was born 1841 in Angelina Co., Texas. Menerva is famous as she is a Citizen of the Repiblic of Texas. Menerva Pharis married Alfred Leggett in Lufkin, Texas in 1858. This union had seven children Sallie, Mary J, William P, John T, James L, Tobias G., and Fred Leggett. Menerva died in 28 Jan 1919 in Springtown Parker Co., Texas of Pneumonia. She is buried in Springtown Cemetery. Bio by Juney
