Bio

Mary Jane Leggett was born to Alfred Leggett and Menerva A Pharis in Angelina Co., Texas in 1861. Mary Jane was married two times. First to Jessie E. Duncan in Hood Co., Texas in 1882. Jessie and Mary had one son Jessie Yarbor Duncan. There was trouble in the family and Jessie E. and Mary Divorced around 1885 and their son Jessie Y went to live with his mother Mary. Mary Jane soon married Mr McGuire around 1887 and Mr McGuire soon died before 1900 and left Mary a widow. Mary Jane came down with cancer and died in 1912 and is buried next to her Mother Menerva Leggett in a unmarked grave in Parker, Co. TX., in Springtown. Springtown Cemetery Bio by Juney
