Son of Oder and Judy Webb Slagle WINONA - Graveside services for Carl Jarrette Slagle, 71, Winona, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Harris Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Sonny Carson officiating under direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors, Tyler. Mr. Slagle died June 20, 2006, at a Tyler hospice. He was born April 12, 1935, in Athens to the late Oder and Judy Webb Slagle. He was a sheet metal worker for Carrier Air Conditioning Co., and lived in Athens and Winona for more than 37 years. Survivors include his wife, Sheila Slagle, Winona; sons, Carl J. Slagle and Raymond D. Slagle, both of Winona; and sisters, Pam Finch, Athens, Annette Hawthorne, Jarrell, and Bobbie Forester, Tulsa, Okla. Honorary pallbearers are A.K. Wilson, Gayle Finch, F.C. Hoskins, Earl Hawthorne, Dan M. Cater and David Dandk. Family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
