Funeral services for Pamela Elaine Finch, 65, of Athens are scheduled for Sunday, May 22, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Pamela passed from this world May 18, 2011 surrounded by her husband and daughters. She was born to the late Judy and Oder Slagle on March 4, 1946. Having attended high school in Dallas, she moved to the Austin area to attend cosmetology school, returning to Athens she owned and operated the Cinnamon Stich Beauty Salon for some years, worked for the Henderson County Tax Assessor Collector and Medical Arts Clinic as a lab technician before becoming a fulltime home-maker and partner with her husband in Fort Sandflat Products. Pam loved traveling with her husband Gayle, loved her family and life itself, however, she lived for her grandchildren. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by her husband of 27 years, Gayle Finch; her daughters and sons-in-law, Deidra & Mark Hopkins of Athens, Dianna & Jorge Guererro of Flower Mound, Penny Busch of Plano; stepson, Joel & Linda Finch of Waco; grandchildren, Sarah Hopkins of Tyler, Abigail and Jaxx Guererro of Flower Mound. Those gone before her are her parents; son, Darren Busch; sister, Deborah Slagle; and brother, Carl Slagle. Pallbearers include Robert Forester, Russell Forester, Raymond Forester, Jeremy Forester, David Danek, and Jerry Slagle.
